A woman slipped and heard a crack from her ankle. The incident was initially directed to Keswick MRT, but they quickly alerted us. We attended and recovered her to an ambulance waiting in Grasmere
A man was reported as unwell descending from Greenup Edge. The team were responding when we were notified that the air ambulance had reached him and was able to deal with the incident. We turned around and went home
WE were requested to assist Kendal MRT with an incident on Gummers How, but were stood down whilst en-route.
We were requested to assist NWAS with the recovery of a woman who had slipped and sustained a lower leg injury when she slipped on the shore footpath at Miller Ground
A male got in to difficulty when his mobility scooter became stuck on steep, slippery ground while trying to find his way back to his holiday park. He was evacuated a short distance by stretcher and was reunited with his scooter on safe ground
Four young men became stuck on Rossett Pike, in cold and windy weather, unable to locate their way down. They also became separated when one of them moved to try and find a mobile signal. They were all eventually located and assisted down.
A young woman sustained suspected spinal injuries when she accidently rode off a small crag, falling around 2 metres. She was treated by team members and evacuated to a waiting ambulance
A male sustained a suspected fractured neck of femur in a fall. He was treated by team members and evacuated to the valley floor for onward transport to hospital

The dog reported missing in incident 70 was located by its owners, injured on steep ground. It was recovered from the fell and taken to a local vet for treatment

A climber took a lead fall and sustained head and neck injuries amongst others. She was assisted by fellow climbers initially and then treated by the team and helicopter paramedics before being flown to hospital
A brief search was made for a dog that had been seen chasing a stick over the edge of some steep ground. Unfortunately, at that stage, we were unable to locate it.
A woman reported herself lost near Sergeant Man. She was located using SARLOC and given directions to find her way to Stickle Tarn. Team members were tracking her progress when we were notified that she had come across another group who offered to see her down. We stood down
A female walker took a tumble and sustained and head injury and nose bleed. She was recovered by the team
A woman became cragfast while wlaking with a family group. While we were responding, a second member of the party also became stuck trying to assist the first. Both were recovered uninjured
While investigating the previous incident a team member was flagged down for assistance with a man who was fitting and suffered a head injury on the roadside... the team member (also a paramedic) assisted the bystander (also a paramedic) with the man, who subsequently discharged himself from their care...
Sometimes we have an incident that just leaved you baffled and perplexed... a family group 'lost' a 19-year-old member when she 'wandered off' on the way to Loft Crag. Our 'normal' procedure in these circumstances is to contain the remaining group and locate the missing person, however this does require a certain level of cooperation from the group and this was not forthcoming... by 1830 all members of the group had been accounted for with the original lost person turning up in Langstrath, and another one who'd gone 'searching' for her located at Stake Pass...
A woman slipped and sustained a fracture/dislocation of her ankle. She was given analgesic and the dislocation was reduced before she was evacuated to an ambulance waiting in the valley. Smooth soled-shoes mays have been a factor in the slip
Two young males became trapped by fast flowing water. They were recovered wet, but unharmed by team members

An early start with a man taken ill while wild camping. He was evacuated and was suspected of suffering from food poisoning and dehydration
A man and woman became separated while walking over Crinkle Crags. The man waited at Three Tarns then reported the woman missing. She eventually turned up at the Old Dungeon Ghyll car park having somehow passed him at Three Tarns and continuing her walk over Bowfell in the hope of catching him up... which, given he had descended The Band when he gave up, was pretty unlikely. We can only assume the drive home was a tense one...
A woman suffered severe abdominal pain while walking at Grasmere Weir. She was given pain relief and recovered to an ambulance
One of a party of two men was unable to continue after a long walk. He was assisted off by team members
A woman suffered a possible stroke while walking with friends. She was treated by team members and evacuated

Witnesses saw a dog fall from Jack's Rake and were concerned for the dog and its owner who was trying to descend to reach it. The team were called and responded but were stood down once it was established that the owner was OK and didn;t require our help to recover his dog
Three people were recovered from Wansfell when they became too exhausted to continue
The team were called to a male who had jumped from rocks in to shallow water at Buckstone's Jump. He sustained fractures to both ankles. One of these was serious and limb-threatening, so after treatment by the team, he was evacuated to hospital via Coastguard helicopter.
Lightening strikes and a massive midge swarm saw the team exposed to noteworthy danger and considerable discomfort!
A climber took a lead fall, ripping out some of his gear and falling around 7m. He sustained serious head and neck injuries. He was treated and evacuated to hospital by Rescue 199
We were requested to assist Kendal MRT with a casualty in Kentmere

We were called to a woman who had taken a tumble and sustained facial injuries. We were on route when we were notified that her party had managed to make it to the road and a conventional ambulance was now all that was required

A paraglider crashed while flying from Harrison Stickle. He sustained back injuries along with others. He was treated by the team and evacuated by Coastguard Rescue 199
A woman sustained a hip injury in a fall. The team responded and were most of the way there when we were informed that Helimed had reached the casualty and evacuated her.

We were requested to search a number of locations to assist Wasdale MRT with a search for two overdue people. They were ultimately located cold and wet by members of Duddon & Furness MRT in the Upper Esk area
A group of four plus a dog became disorientated in mist. Without map and compass, they phoned for help. With the aid of SARLOC they were located and given guidance to get them down. With the previous serious incident ongoing a team member monitored their progress until they were safely down

A paraglider crashed in to Harrison Stickle, sustaining multiple injuries. He was treated by the team and evacuated via a rope system and transferred to hospital

A woman phoned to report her partner overdue, who in turn had gone looking for their dog which had run away. The man was located. The dog was not. They told us they'd been on Crinkle Crags. It seems more likely they'd been on Great Carrs
A couple became cragfast on steep ground on Loughrigg. They were retrieved by a couple of team members
A woman sustained an ankle injury when she slipped on a muddy path. She was treated and evacuated, then transported to hospital by a relative
A phone call was received by police stating a problem finding a way off Bowfell. The call was dropped and no further contact was possible. We monitored the situation overnight, but when there was no further communication by mid-morning we escalated to incident and organised a search. Thankfully a chat with staff from the Old Dungeon Ghyll alerted us to 4 young men who tey had seen around midnight, cold, wet and trying yo get back to their holiday accommodation. We located them and confirmed that they were the same people who had made the 999 call. We were able to go home

In a remarkably similar incident to previous, two women were unable to locate a way off Blea Rigg. A small team was assembling to retrieve them when a passing fellrunner was able to intervene and guide them to an obvious path down. We were able to stand down

Someone working in Troutbeck spotte what appeared to be a human shape stationary for a prolonged period on the hillside. Concerned that it was a person, we were requested to investigate.

A couple and their dog became benighted on Crinkle Crags. They were located via their phone and escorted from the fell

We were requested to assist Kendal MRT with an incident in Serpentine Woods, Kendal. Their numbers were depleted by their annual winter training trip to Scotland. We were stood down while responding
The team had the sad duty of recovering the body of a man who had been found deceased near Grisedale Hause
The team were called to a person who had suffered a cardiac arrest at Buckstones Jump. We attended along with a Coastgurad helicopter, an North West Air Ambulance having aborted due to the weather conditions. The casualty was treated, placed on our Autopulse device and airlifted to West Cumberland Infirmary. Sadly they were declared to have died at the hospital.
Our best wishes are extended to all involved and thanks to all who assisted including NWAS, Cumbria Police, HM Coastguard and team members who attended
The three occupants of a car attempted to drive over Wrynose Pass in snow and ice conditions. They failed. We recovered them

Three young men lost their way trying to descend from Bowfell, ending up cold and wet at Gaitsgail Gill. They were located via SARLOC and escorted from the hill
We were requested to assist NWAS with a report of an unconscious male in woodland in Bowness. He was located conscious and in the care of his girlfriend.
We joined Kendal MRT on Thornthwaite Beacon to rescue a fellrunner with a lower leg injury.
Splint applied, pain dealt with, stretcher off... you know the story...
The team were called by NWAS to an incident at Angle Tarn. Details were vague but with one casualty injured and having difficulty breathing and a second unaccounted for, we requested the assistance of the Coastguard. Great North Air Ambulance also mobilised. They were able to get close to the anticipated casualty site fairly quickly. They were unable to locate any injured persons. Simultaneously we finally managed to make phone contact with the informant, who revealed that the actual location was Angle Tarn, Patterdale.
Flashing lights were reported in the Helm Crag area by holiday home occupants
Further investigation identified that the lights were moving steadily downhill so we left our late-night wanderers to their own devices
A man was reported overdue at his campsite. Enquiries were made but no further action was taken

Two team members living local to an incident in Coniston MRT area assisted when a woman tumbled from the path on steep ground at Colwith Bridge. She sustained serious injuries and was flown to Preston hospital by air ambulance
A man was reported as suffering from severe abdominal pains and repeated vomiting near Angle Tarn. The team set off, along with Keswick MRT from the north. He was airlifted off by a Coastguard helicopter and his friends were recovered to Seathwaite by Keswick team members
