A woman in a walking group felt unable to continue, so the group leader called for help. This was being organised when we were notified that she’d rallied and was able to walk down with assistance, so we stood down. We monitored their descent electronically to confirm they got down
A lone male walker slipped and sustained a suspected ankle fracture. He had to crawl to a point where he could get a signal before raising the alarm. He was located, treated and evacuated by team members
A 71-year-old Swiss woman slipped while descending and sustained a suspected ankle fracture. We administered the usual TLC and carried her down with assistance from Kendal MRT
A man collapsed while walking with a party. Sadly he died at the scene, despite the efforts of a nurse who was in attendance.
A 33-year-old male slipped and sustained a suspected fracture to his shoulder. He was treated by team members and carried down the fell, and then transported to Ambleside for onward transport to Lancaster. We were assisted again by Kendal MRT.
