Snarker Pike

A fellrunner slipped on damp ground and twisted his knee, leaving him unable to continue. In a procedure new to us, he was COVID 19 risk assessed, treated by team members and evacuated. Fortunately his injury was not serious and the service of our over stretched ambulance service was not required for transport to hospital

A 54 year old Cheshire lady collapsed and died whilst walking with her husband. The team conveyed the body down the fellside.

We were called to assist a woman who had slipped and sustained an ankle injury.

64 year old woman slipped and broke her ankle.

A woman sustained a lower leg injury when she slipped on wet ground just below the summit of Snarker Pike. She was in a lot of pain and was treated by team members, then evacuated to Furness General Hospital by North West Air Ambulance.
