Incident Report #28 1972

Mother and daughter, aged 58 and 22 years from Northampton, set out on a walk from Seatoller, Borrowdale, via Langstrath, and Stake Pass, and Mickledon to The Old Dungeon Ghyll, Great Langdale. Team alerted when they failed to arrive. Team helped by Keswick and Kendal teams searched until 6 a.m. the next day. The Panel was called, and a large scale search was started, involving at least 161 men, and women started at daylight on the 27th. The search was called off about 11.30 a.m. when the two ladies walked into Brotherikeld Farm, Eskdale, very little the worse for
