After an overnight high level camp a group of three young men were descending the Band when one of them became separated from the other two. The two had a look back up the hill, waited for him in the valley, but he didn't appear, so they called us. A small group searched Mickleden and he was located in a remote part of the valley, having missed the path and descended steep ground, his torch having failed. He was tired, but unhurt. He was reunited with his friends back at the Old Dungeon Ghyll car park. While we were there another man identified himself to us. It transpired that he was the casualty from rescue 62. He showed us his scar, and explained that he was recovering, but still had trouble stamping the mud from his boots!
